Before acquiring Executive Networks in late 2003, Mike was Vice President of Learning Services at The Concours Group. Prior to that, Mike was a Founder and CEO of Learning Technologies Group, Inc. Mike has also held positions at The Conference Board, Sirota & Alper Associates and the U.S. General Accounting Office. Mike is the author, co-author or a contributor to seven books on executive development, learning, and high-performance organizations. His most recent books are Corporate Learning: Proven and Practical Guidelines for Building a Sustainable Learning Strategy (Pfeiffer, 2005), Strategic Executive Development: The Five Essential Investments (Pfeiffer, 2005) and The Connect Effect: Building Strong Personal, Professional and Virtual Networks (Berrett-Koehler, 2008). Mike has a BA from the University of Michigan and an MPA, with a concentration in organizational behavior, from the University of Southern California. Mike is married to Teresa Goodwin, his co-author on Renovate to Riches: Buy, Improve and Flip Houses to Create Wealth (Wiley, 2003) and has a young son, Theo. Mike lives in San Francisco, CA.
